Donna, with all you and Tom have been through with Ross, you should mark Friday on your calendar as a family holiday. Pushing a child out of the nest is hard. I hope the world can teach him what he has refused to learn from you and Tom. It'll be good for him to see what it's like out there and not have moving

Thanks, Linny, for your summer greetings. Hope you are enjoying the summer, too. The heat keeps us in the A.C. most of the day, so inside activities reign until later in the afternoon at least. Lillie, you are doing all the right things for yourself. Keep on fighting. It looks like Ross' last day here is Friday. I packed him up yesterday in 2 large

Linny, you're so right about all...Tom needs the outlet. Ross is starting the new job tomorrow, Tuesday. It's an outside job with temperatures in the mid to upper 90s. He says he can do it since he practiced and played football in those temperatures. However, that was 4 years ago and 100 lbs. lighter! He's taking water with him. I haven't

Everything you said is so right on about Ross. I've talked with a couple of prospective counselors and they also said he needs to treat his weed addiction before he can conquer the overeating. He doesn't agree, though...thinks he knows it all. Anyway, he did pass the drug test illegally, and admitted how stressed he was about it and that he

Jo, I'm praying your back surgery today went well and your recuperation will be speedy. You have really had a lot to deal with! Robin, your culinary school in Miami sounds soooo interesting! You are so lucky. Linny, how are your daughter and her husband since they moved out? I know you must miss them, but at the same time glad to have the house
As I write them some much needed rain is coming down on our roof. I wonder how many more times I'll hear that sound before we move. Moving will be bittersweet. As excited as I am to have a new home in a nicer neighborhood, this house is where we have raised our babies. I will miss so many of the sights that remind me
It looks like everyone's abandoned this group, so I'm going to stop posting if I don't hear from anyone by next Monday. Until then, just let me know if you want to continue the group and I will. No hard feeling, really. Most of you have my email address, so drop a line if you want. Hope everyone's well
Hi Ladies, I just saw on fb that Diane passed away last week. I don't know if she had been sick or what. I am shocked and so sorry to hear about it. Hugs, Jo
I was also shocked and saddened to hear about Diane. I always enjoyed and was blessed by her postings. She will be really missed. I'll post more

Thanks, Linny and Robin. I know my pillow wasn't exactly crazy quilted, but again it's not exactly traditional because of the types of fabrics. Both Tom and I put ourselves into decorating the house. I'm always impressed with his good sense of placement especially. Robin, what's a Farmer's quilt? I also find it amazing you can find
