  • Re: Finding Fabric

I had a similar issue with a quilt I was working on last year. After I was unsuccessful with the shops listed above I went to ebay. I was able to find this older print through this site or Etsy. Smaller shops might also have the line listed and still in stock - similar to your local shop.

Finished up a BOM quilt top over the weekend. The local quilt shop used a Moda pattern for this project. It is the first project I plan to keep for myself. I am going to attempt to quilt this on my domestic machine. Plan to have a friend baste it on her long arm. I have only quilted baby quilts to this point but took a class where the instructor helped

  • Re: Reducing dimensions for cut pieces to create a smaller wall hanging

You need to first subtract a 1/2" from the original cut sizes of the pattern to remove the seam size. Next calculate to reduced to the size you want add the 1/2" back for the two 1/4" seams.

I just love it to - especially the fussy cut spider web. Took a class with Elizabeth Hartman - Patchwork City class last week. She was all about fussy cutting her pieces. so unfortunately for me - it causes me to notice little things like that. Hopefully in my case it will wear off. She is a bit OCD about it. Thanks for sharing!

Wow there is some amazing work here. Makes me not want to give up on the basket under my cutting table that is over flowing. Need to take a break from sewing to start organizing it so I can make it into a project. You have all given me inspiration! I had originally planned to do some paper piecing strip / spider webs but you might have changed my mind

Thea - the baby quilts are too cute. I've been wanting to try this pattern - glad to hear it goes together quick. After my last project - I need something quick and easy.

Thea - so sorry to hear of your burden. I will keep you in my prayers. Love the eye candy everyone has shared. The wedding quilt is off getting quilted by a long arm friend. Like Thea's idea of taking a picture of it with the bride/couple. Enjoyed the eye candy everyone has shared. I will try and remember to take a picture of some of the project

Thank-you for the kind words. When I only had 3 or 4 of the center rows pulled together I hated it and was worried I had made a bad decision by throwing a little yellow/gold into the mix. But now that I am moving out to the more negative space I have fallen back in love with the pattern. Ginny - I'm estimating I'll have over 50 hours into the

Helen - I love the memory quilt. I'm sure it is a labor of love in many many ways. Here is the 'labor of love' I have been working on. It is a wedding gift for my nephew. Wedding is Sept. 19th. So I need to keep moving. It will be here before I know it.
