  • What kind of freezer paper for applique?

    Hi Quilters, I'm trying to get started with hand applique. What kind of freezer paper should I use? My grocery store sells Reynolds Freezer Paper that is plastic coated. Is that ok? Or is it better to use the craft freezer paper, like C. Jenkins brand? I love posting my questions here. Thank you! Sara

  • Buy patterns to save for later?

    Hi I'm a beginner at applique. I have found several applique quilt patterns that I love, but I don't have the skill level (or the time) right now to make the patterns I like. Should I buy the patterns and save them for later? In the old days, patterns would go out of print, but I don't know if that would happen now in our digital age. The

    Hi I am a beginning quilter. I made one pieced quilt in high school and now, in my thirties, I have renewed my interest in quilting. I am beginning to learn about applique and I love the patterns I have seen. I'm not sure where to start, as far as learning to applique. There are so many methods of applique. . .
