• Re: Do I need more contrast in this colour combo?

Brigit-Carol - I really like purples (also fond of unicorns). I think the purple is great with the unicorns but I would actually go darker on the blue. Either way, it is going to be a beautiful quilt.

  • Re: Point of no return

Hello Denise, I found an article in QuiltMag where Karl McDaniel was able to reproduce this quilt. The link is Perhaps they would be able to help you get the pattern. Otherwise if you could get a clearer picture, you could put into a program called Quilt Assistant (it's free) and make your

It is a shame that not everybody has the same success on the website. I know it can be frustrating when you want to get to something quickly. However, I find it equally frustrating that everyone seems to blame the website for ALL the issues. How can everybody believe that all the problems belong to the website when everyone uses different browsers,

  • Re: Autograph quilt - I need advice

Hi Ellie, To heat set the ink, first ensure it is dry. For my computer ink, I usually wait 10-15 minutes after printing. Then it is a simple matter of pressing (not ironing) the fabric for a minimum of two minutes. I will sometimes put a pressing cloth over the ink but if you are sure it is dry, you don't have to do this. Some people recommend a

  • Re: MemoryQuilts

Hi - I have used the freezer paper method and had success with black ink but not color (not colorfast). My neighbor has tried this method and it was not good for her printer. I have also used the June Tailor product - it works beautifully for colors - the disadvantage was I found it to be a bit stiff but the colors were great. Any fabric can be used

  • At the Beginning

So, I have never tried writing a blog before and I expect this will be quite the learning experience. I should be quilting right now but since I did manage to put together two blocks this morning, I gave myself permission to play with this feature of QCA. So far I have created one page and now I'm writing my first little post. Not sure how it will
