Melissa, I don't blame you. I want clean water and electricity too! Your town sounds so interesting. I bet it's pretty there too. Thanks for your compliment on my quilt. It was my first and because of that, will always be my favorite (and I really love the colors too!). I checked out your gallery and your quilts are beautiful ! My favorite is

Hi Melissa, Thanks for the welcome. I visited San Francisco a few years ago. Is that near you? We went to Yosemite and across the bay to see the Redwood trees in Muir Woods. We also took a drive down CA Hwy 1 all the way to Big Sur. It was beautiful. I would love to go back there one day. I'd love to be able to spend more time in Yosemite. I have

Nana, I wish I had pictures from that vacation. I was only a teenager then and didn't take pics. I don't think my mom has pics either. My husband and

I enjoyed that very much. I remember a lighthouse on the beach. Not sure exactly where it was. We were with some family friends and he was retired Navy, so

Maybe we should switch states for a bit. Today it was 95 degrees with 90% humidity and a "feels like" temperature of 105 degrees. I could use a cold blast right about now! LOL

You are lucky indeed. Sounds like a wonderful family. My granddog is quite a guy! He is a Catahoula with one blue eye and one brown eye. His name is Orion (after the constellation). I crocheted a throw for him and he seemes to like it. When he stands on his hind legs he can just about look me in the eye, but my son has made sure Orion is well behaved
