  • Re: Venetian Dreams Quilt pattern question

Here's what I had in mind. I apologize for the rough sketch, but hopefully you'll get the idea. You could just cut the top row with the "floating" half square design and continue the border all around.

Hi Perri! Have you thought about setting the rows on a diagonal instead of straight across? That might make it a little more interesting and allow you to have some fun with the border too. • Re: Searching for iron

Rowenta is by far my favorite. I have shelled out the money to get a better one than what I can buy in the average housewares department because those always either leak or don't get hot enough. I have one that has the base that you fill with water so it lasts a long time. This is great for steaming my prewashed fabrics as well as my finished quilt

  • Help needed to keep my quilt mojo going

Hi! I just got back into quilting after a long hiatus. Unfortunately, my Bernina sewing machine (which did not sit unused during that time) is giving me issues. It is skipping stitches and I have literally tried everything. I've cleaned and oiled it, threaded and rethreaded, changed the bobbin, rewound the bobbin, changed the needle multiple times

  • Hello from Duluth, MN

I have been quilting for a very long time but have been on a hiatus to pursue other crafty interests. Now I'm super excited to get back to what I really love!!! I've missed it so! I've already purchased fabric for some simple new projects (to get myself back into the groove) and I am so excited to get going! One of the reasons I stopped
