  • Rag quilt blue and brown

This project came about because my new comforter was waaaay too hot for this Texas summer! My husband and I looked for a quilt. We looked, and we looked... The probem is, I'm picky and I wanted matching curtains. I finally came to the conclusion that I could either make my own, or pay around $600 for what I really wanted. So, this came to be. The

  • Update Hexagon Crazy

Well, it has taken me almost a full year, but I have finally finished putting the hexagons together! The original piece that was handed down to me was about 500 pieces. I have added to it for a total of 2964. It is currently 92in x 100 in. I plan to put a solid border around it, probably red, just to square it off. Also, I think it will look better

  • Wedding gift- Memory quilt

This is an almost finished project I'm making for a friends wedding gift. It's almost 10 ft x 10 ft. All I have left to do is sew the pictures on. It's ment to look like a tree trunk that they've carved their initials and wedding anniversary into. I had the pictures printed small so that in the future we could add more family pictures

Hello to all the Texans!!! @Jenia- I know, it's a crazy number! I kinda cheated in a way... My aunt had to go throu my grandmothers things when she passed and she's given me all of her craft stuff. This included a few unfinished quilt tops. The piece we found had about 500. It's going to take me forever, but it seems well worth it. And my

  • Hexagon crazy

My aunt found this unfinished quilt top with my grandmothers things after she passed. She gave it to me thinking I'm the only one likely to do anything with it. I've started working on it after studying how the original pieces were put together. It was a scrap quilt, most likely made out of old clothes, but I'm not sure. I'm finishing

Thank you all! I'm currently working on a hexigon scrap quilt. I think when I'm done it will have around 3000 pieces. I'm about half way there. I've been thinking about I'll quilt it when I finish it. I'm not sure I'm using the correct terminology here, but I mean when I finish the front and put all the layers together, how
