  • Re: Unexpected Helpers

Sad, I just saw this. What did you decide? I think if you have the room for one, it would be a great help.

  • Re: What are you up to today #10

Thank you Sue, I will keep my eye out for odd charges. I just paid for some fabrics, so far so good. I did get notified twice, maybe more from " Pay pal" that my account was not in good standings...I went to the real Pay pal sight and all was fine. I notified Pay Pal about the fraud on one of them.

  • Re: Bernina

Bobbie, I just went to the Bernina website to see what they had. I have a Janome and love it but I have a friend that told me recently that if she could get one that has these nice toy's such as embroidery, it would be her dream machine. Based on that and what Judy said and what I love, I would go with the Bernina 880. Since it is many of you helping

I will add that if when you look at this it does not make you smile and all you will think of is "it's not what I wanted", then ask for your money back. A quilt should make you feel good. • Re: Help!

If you really love the quilt other than the seems not aligning up what I would suggest it that you pay 1/2 the cost and have her mail it to you, then see about taking out the blocks that are off, and then if you can't fit this yourself then find a quilter who would be willing to sew them together for you and pay them or someone else to quilt it

  • Re: Help!

It sounds like you both might be happier if she refunded your money and she sold the quilt. I wish the best for you, let us know what happens.

  • Re: Help!

Quilts are a big deal to make, take a ton of time to do and if something is not perfect- it's just part of what makes it home made, and special. This is not going to be a commercially done pattern, it is hand made and with that there will be areas that show that.

ritawafflard, This site has many caring people on it, I hope you will continue to come back here...and do show off your quilt when you get it done. I have made many friends on here. This site has had some hiccups and some have left, as I found another site I post more often to now, but now I seem to post on both. I will look forward to seeing pictures

Since your making a new quilt, I would look for something that you fall in love with.
