Paging through a Judy Mathieson Mariner's compass quilt book, my daughter liked the idea of the off-center star and together we decided what the rest of it would look like. She chose the colors and we collected fabric for months. It was fun. I added the saw-tooth border when we decided the quilt needed to be just a bit bigger. Machine pieced, hand
