I love purple and yellow and white. But it might clash with the gold. Depends on how much yellow and the shade (?) of yellow you use. Great idea though, using the bags!

Thanks everybody! Guess I'm really glad I didn't try to do intense quilting on this one - ripping project Hello! and he'll get it in December instead. He's too young to read the label anyways. :)

I agree with Annie. My mum always says, if that's what you feel you need to do then its ok! Like the days when I just want to watch tv for 6 hrs straight..she says, obviously your mind and body needed a break! I'd stay away from that tho. Try going for walks in parks you've never been before or calling a friend you haven't talked to

I made a quilt recently - all fabric was prewashed. I didn't prewash the batting because.. I never heard of doing that. I decided to wash it before I gave it to my sister because she has two young kids and knew she would eventually wash it. It shrunk or bunched up to half it's size! I did a really simple quilting design, outlining blocks stitch
