This is the final quilt I created from the squares leftover from my Floating Squares watercolor quilt. Because I made two twin sized bed quilts from those leftovers already it was necessary to shop for additional fabric to complete this one. In particular, I had to find fabric with large floral motifs to fit the square with squares design.

Created from over 5,000 squares, this shows a detail of how the design was assembled. Each floating square is made up of 25 carefully chosen 2" squares. I laid out several of these squares at a time before assembling them.
