    Congratulations, Carol; you are going to love it! My Janome is the Horizon 7700QCP, not the newest thing on the block, but it's a winner! I am so pleased with the quality of this machine. It is also VERY quiet and does not vibrate the table when I've "got the pedal to the metal." The dealer is a repair depot as well as a sales outlet

  • Which longarm should I buy?

    Funds are limited (of course!), but DH has said that he wants me to have a longarm. O joy! I spent several hours in a dealer's showroom, trying various brands and I'm leaning toward a Juki with a steel table, not wood. It is not the fastest, nor the slowest, (2300SPI) but seems well made and has many convenient features. Stitch regulation, naturally

    Marianne, never, EVER turn your handwheel backwards. The thread will break every time. These older machines were not made to sew in reverse and the internal workings will cut the thread when the wheel is turned backwards. There is also a possibility of damaging an internal part, or creating a snarly mess inside. If you want to sew "in reverse,"
