I made a denim quilt from my sons jeans that no longer fit them. They are children sizes 8 and 10. I love the look that the worn knees added to the quilt. I'm going to make another one that I have with larger size 12 jeans. To give credit where credit is due. I followed this tutorial for making the denim quilt: http://www.pieceandquilt.com/2010

This is a prayer quilt that I made for a church member, and friend, who was going through chemo treatments. I'm happy to say she is in remission now! Praise God! I make prayer quilts for our church ministry. After the quilt is complete, long threads of #5 Pearl cotton are stitched in the center of the blocks and left untied. We present the quilt

I make prayer quilts for my church ministry. Prayer quilts are quilts with prayers tied into them. After the quilt is complete, long threads of #5 Pearl cotton are stitched in the center of the blocks and left untied. We present the quilt to the church, saying who the quilt is for and what prayers are needed. After service the quilt is placed on a table

This turtle design is a Drunkards Path block with the block components turned to look like a turtle. I freehanded the head and tail. They are stitched in the curves, then I zig-zagged appliqued them down. This prayer quilt was made for a young boy that liked turtles. This was the first time using a template in a long time and stitching curves!

I've made several prayer quilts in this style. They are lap size and quick to sew and quilt. After the quilt is complete, long threads of number 5 Pearl cotton are stitched in the center of the blocks and left untied. We present the quilt to the church, saying who the quilt is for and what prayers are needed. After service the quilt is placed on

A friend ask if I would make a raffle quilt for her family member. Her family member was undergoing chemo treatments and insurance didn't cover all the cost. The family had brainstormed various ideas to help raise money for the loved one. I can't remember now how much money was raised, but the family member of my friend is doing well and all
