  • Baby Boy Quilt

I made this baby boy quilt in one day. I used flannel scraps that I had in my stash. I used a light blue minkee for the backing and quilted it in parallel diagonal lines on my home sewing machine.

  • 10 minute Block Quilt top

Our Guild had a class using the 10 minute block and I was so excited I had to come home to try it. I used a 10" layer cake called Metropolitan Fair by Moda. The blocks are huge but it went so fast and turned out so great. I have not quilted this top yet.

  • Horse Quilt made Christmas 2012

I enlarged this pattern from a small block a friend made. I made this for my Grandson Crosley for Christmas 2012. I varied the brown fabrics as well as the background prints for each block. I backed it with brown flannel and quilted it on my sewing machine by stitching in the ditch around each horse, and on the sashing strips.

  • Football field quilt

This quilt I made for my grandson Joe for Christmas 2012. I appliqued the white yard lines and then appliqued on helmets and footballs on the side lines. He loved that I appliqued his last name at the end goals. I quilted it in sections and besides batting I used a plaid fleece for the backing.

  • Sampler Quilt

This is my first attempt at piece quilting. I signed up for the free Craftsy.com Block of the Monthin 2012 and this is what I made. Instead of putting batting in it I just used fleece for the backing. I Free Motion Quilted it myself on my home sewing machine. I love using it to snuggle when the nights are cold.

  • Blue Plate Special Quilt Top

I bought this pattern 10 years ago and thought it was pretty but hard to make...when I was looking for a pattern to start a new scrappy quilt a month ago I realized I had learned enough techniques to be able to make this. I love it. It is the fourth quilt I have made since Christmas 2012.
