  • Re: Did You Work on a Quilt Today? #9

Angele, Sorry to read of your difficulties. It's really hard to see our parents and siblings have problems that can change their lives, and our own, so dramatically. Happy to see that there are good things happening for you, as well. Kind of "off-sets" some of the hard things that are going on. :) kathy

  • Re: Premium Membership -- NOT!

I'm confused about the membership card situation. On the Home page, in the center at the top is the blue box labeled MY PROFILE. It shows my own personal groups, my posts, etc.., and then a tab/link that says: Membership Card. I just clicked it, and it brought up a picture of my membership card with my member number. There's a Print icon box

I do not get any pop ups such as those referred to by Brigit-Carol, on my laptop. I have my pop up security set at Medium level so guess it is doing the job! Thankfully.

I was thinking that in place of buttons on the boxes you could also make Yo Yo's, or cut out felt or wool flowers to emulate the flower blossoms on the fabric. Don't think you'd even have to applique the felt or wool pieces, just tack them down. Could even add a button in the center of each... so many things would work!

  • Re: Keeping your Quilt Block in the Order you want them.

I do the same thing, Roxana, but using my digital camera, and it works well for me. If need be, I will even do close-ups, divided into quadrants, so there's no mistaking the layout and correct positioning for sewing. kathy

Oh my gosh, Gini... what a visual picture of the grocery store discussion! But, you know, it's probably good that you got it off your chest and it all worked out as it did. "Things happen for a reason." They have now laid it all out between them, right where it needed to be, and it's in their laps to deal with as they may. Easter might

I'm also unable to update my profile info.. get the error msg, everytime. I notified the QCA admin at least a couple weeks ago that it was happening (and thanked them for getting the other longstanding problems figured out!) Other than the profile updating functions, I'm having absolutely no problems with logging in, moving throughout the site

Kris and Pat L, Thanks for taking time to answer my questions! I knew it would probably be something about FM quilting, Kris, but that was as far as I could get with it. :) Pat, thanks for the information! I no longer have much trouble with matching accessories and clothes... since retirement, my choice is jeans and t-shirts, and color makes little

Karla, it sounds as tho you're about at the end of your string! I recall reading somewhere that we are known as "the sandwich generation" caring for both our parents and the needs of our children. I think our kids ask for more help from us than I ever recall our parents generation doing. Don't know why that is... maybe our parents

Marie, what is FNMFM? Sorry, I'm new enough here that I don't recognize all of the abbreviations. It will no doubt be something simple, but I just don't see it... lol Pat L... I had to laugh at your remark about being a control freak. That accurately describes me, as well. I don't know how I would ever survive making a quilt that was
