  • Re: Embroidery software

Thanks Michelle. Mine is an older machine and only supports .SHV files and I am having trouble finding very many of those. At least with the software, I will be able to get just about any kind and it will convert it to shv for me. I have only 32 designs that came with the machine, not counting letters, and I would like to expand the library, but not

  • Embroidery software

I have a Viking Designer I and was wondering about software. I have none at the moment. I looked at the new 6D embroidery package, but was wondering if there's something cheaper out there. I see Electric Quilt supports shv files, which is what this machine uses, but see some bad reviews. Anyone have any suggestions on what is a good program?

I have looked at the Simplicity machine myself and from the Amazon reviews, I decided not to get it. It only got an average of 3 star reviews so I am interested in what others here have to say as well. So I won't be much help with that part of your question. As for the spray starch, I use Mary Ellen's best press. It doesn't gunk up my iron

thanks for all the replies! I may just stick with my corded one for my sewing room but I think a cordless will work in a pinch for the motor home should I need it.

  • Cordless iron

Do anyone use a cordless iron and if so what brand? I would like to get one but I see mixed reviews on them. I like my regular iron but the cord gets in the way sometimes, especially when I take it in our motor home. I thought I'd ask here since I really only use it for quilting.

  • Re: Are you ready for MQ7

I am new to QCA and i apologize if this has been addressed already, but I'm curious, what is the level of difficulty for MQ7? I am also new to quilting and I just wanted to see before I jump in. Thanks!

My avatar is my Jake. It was a Monday morning before I was leaving for work and I could identify with how he looked! I am from around the Akron area of Ohio. Thanks for the warm welcome! I will also check out MQ7 along with all the other fun stuff I've found so far here.
