I agree with Patty: if almost all the fabric is made out of the US, why should we pay so much difference?

of course when it comes just to plain fabric it is easy to find better prices, and sales are almost all over. but, talcking about our fabuolus quilting 100% cotton fabric, well - there you can really have no chance at all to find a good deal. I was happy to hear the prices are lower in the usa. but, am I still happy for myself? can you imagine how "easily"

Since I write from Italy - my hometown, I am very curious in knowing how much is the average price for a yard of fabric in the usa. Here in Europe prices are awfully high to me- about 16-20 euros per meter, that should be between 20 and 28 dollars!! this question rises from the fact that it sounds like buying fabrics in the usa is something quiet affordable

Hi! I'm a new member from Italy. I quilt since 1986, and I teach, too. I like traditional quilts, mostly scrap quilts, and colour! Unfortunately I live far from the US where al the fun seems to take place. This is the first time I join a community on line, but this one sounds like a good place to begin. Is there anyone out there??
