  • Flower Bed

I made this quilt in 2013 for a quilt guild challenge. The rules were that the size had to be 36 x 36, it had to have a basket on it and the basket had to have something in it. I immediately thought of my cat Tux and how he loves to settle into baskets. He doesn't mind if the basket has something in it already because that would only mean the bed

  • Cheerful Flowers Wall Hanging

I designed and made this wall hanging for my daughter for her birthday. I wanted to include her favorite colors and make something that she could hang in her dorm room that would remind her that spring was soon to arrive. This was made in early 2013.

  • T Shirt Quilt

This is my first quilt. I made this in 2012 for my daughter for her graduation. The quilt was made from her marching band show and section shirts from her high school years. I utilized the internet to read about how to make this quilt. I would watch videos and then go and do that step of the quilt. My daughter went with me to select the background fabric

You ladies are gems and I so appreciate your help. I hope I will be able to encourage others through this message board

Here is the picture of my wall hanging quilt. The rules of the challenge were that it had to be 36x36, it had to have a basket on it and there had to be something in the basket. I put a black and white cat in the basket because my cat Tux loves baskets. Even though a basket has something in it already, he doesn't mind...he will just lay on top of

  • Re: Newbie question

Thank you so much for your encouraging words, everyone. I have decided to leave my wall hanging as is and withdraw it from the AQS 2014 Show. You have all been very kind and I feel encouraged to continue quilting for my own enjoyment! Thank you all!

  • Newbie question

I am a fairly new quilter and I made a wall hanging to be part of a guild challenge. I displayed my hanging in our guild show but felt saddened when one of the show's co-director's pulled me aside and told me that "hyper quilting" was "in" and that my quilt that had been only stitched in the ditch was not acceptable and I
