  • What batting to use?

    I am making a baby quilt and have been trying to decide on a batting to use. I have Dream cotton - which seems very thin but is lovely to work with. and also have Warm and Natural Hobbs and a polyester batting sized for a crib. I wondered what the effect of washing often is on any of these battings - does anyone know?

  • Our Hope Quilt label

    My first time doing a label - this made it so easy! I used a jet printer and this fabulous printable fabric sheet and then just sewed it onto the quilt before presenting it.

  • Presenting the Hope Quilt at our Qatar Guild Meeting

    This is a part of the group which was present at the Qatar Quilt Guild meeting where we displayed and presented the quilt. It was very well recieved and we felt good having finished the project just in time for October's Breast Cancer Awareness at the College where we work.

  • The Hope Quilt

    The quilt is a queen size bed quilt and is pink, green and black in color. The name of the quilt is The Hope Quilt. The Hope Quilt was a charity project for Breast Cancer Awareness week at the College of the North Atlantic-Qatar. It was all done by Canadian quilters associated with the college – and mostly associated past or present with the Qatar
