I slipped the rolled binding around my extention table leg closest to my right hand and it feeds itself nicely onto the quilt as I sew. I am a genius!!
Elaine, Great tip, I really like it when stuff like that happens. You are a genius alright.
I was so excited to get the pattern on Saturday since I only ordered it Friday. That was fast service! I opened the packet, which said Munch a Bunch on the front, to find it was the Fishy pattern! And, the invoice was for someone in Montana. Fooey, but those things do happen and I'm sure she will feel really

  • Re: Sewing table idea

Everyone who replied. Thank you so much for your comments and new ideas for sewing room layouts. I am fortunate to live five minutes from JoAnn Fabrics headquarters and a huge store. I always have discounts to apply to anything that I want to purchase that is full price. For that reason, I don't purchase bulky stuff ahead of time. Batting for instance
Finally I am ready to expound on my design boards. Not nearly all my boards are the same either in materials or size. I used items at hand to make them. Sizes are different depending on my bins.
Agnes, thank you so much for sharing this idea. It reminds me of a lesson I learned a long time ago that applies to almost

This is a good idea. another of those things to have in your head for when you are out of something and need to improvise. And yes Nancy, Quilt means charge more. LOL but we know better. I wish I would have know a lot of this stuff when I started. I could have saved a lot of time and money. thanks

  • Keep your pins handy

I already had this spice rack, but I didn't like it for spices. As I looked at it, I saw that it would be good in my sewing room. Now I have all of my different kinds of pins stored on a shelf right above my cutting table. Even though the front is clear, I taped a sample of the pin that is inside on the front just to make it easier, especially when
