Thought I'd pop in and share my most recent quilt. http://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/product_view/FreckleDots/5326137/quilted_cross_stitch_wall_hanging/handmade/quilts/wall_hangings/other The cross stitching was completed by the customer that commissioned the quilt and all of the piecing and quilting I completed. She was going to throw them all away

  • Re: great news!

Awesome! I just finished posting that I had picked up my "first" quilt again after a year and worked on it tonight. Of course, I've done others since that one, and it is only first in thought and attempt, but you are WAYYYY ahead of me in that regard!

Finally got a chance to work on my "first" quilt again today. I started it over a year and a half ago and got so busy taking orders, then a move, then back to taking orders that I didn't get to work on it again for a year. I've been selling on Etsy for about 2 years now. I started out on Artfire.com, which is another really good site to sell your handmade/vintage/supply items from. Thanks Melissa. I just use what they give me. :) That one is hard to see, but I free-motioned around each of the hearts in the sashing and their trails. That one was a lot of fun.

Finished #4 of the 8 I have scheduled today. That makes 2 done from scratch and 2 that I have quilted in 4 weeks. I make t-shirt quilts, so my raw materials are the tees and basic squares. Some of them are baby tees and onesies, which vary incredibly in size. I have to figure out I have of one size, supplement with sashing and 4 or 9 piece blocks using

  • Re: Question RE: vintage hand stitch quilt and quilting $

Thank you! I will definitely discuss it with her first, of course. All of my quilts begin with the consultation. It surprises people that there is so much involved when considering a quilt.
