  • Convergence quilt gone wrong

I loved the book Ricky Timms put out 6+ years ago on Convergence quilts. He explained the technique in detail. I was in too much of a hurry and cut some of my strips wrong. I put it together anyway and this is how it turned out. I machine quilted some curvy wave lines and I find it quite striking hanging on my wall.

  • Boxy green quilt

I had lots of strips cut in my scrap bag, so after fishing some out, I decided to do this simple little quilt. I'm quite pleased with the finished quilt. It really brightens a space.

This is my finished quilt from blocks my secret sister sent me. I put them together with some fabric she supplied with the final blocks and machine quilted the enitre quilt.

Thank you for your kindness. This was my first attempt years ago at the thread painting. I would like to give it another go on another small scale quilt or postcard.

Sorry, this picture is just too big. I will have to resize my pics. Anyway, here is one of my art quilts. It only measures 8" X 13". I am using it as my profile picture.

I grew up in what used to be a small town called Howell. It's in lower MI west of Detroit. Our family used to vacation near Muskegon years ago. I love Lake Michigan.

  • Sandra from the UK

Hello, I'm a new member to QCA. My name is Sandra and I am from Michigan, however I am currently living in the United Kingdom. I have been a quilter for 30 years and counting. As a child, my mother taught me to make doll clothes and later my own clothing, but my passion is in creating art quilts.
