Well, I've decided that I'm in. Here are the fabrics for the first step. I had to purchase the black/white fabric because I did not have enough in my stash. I'm just finishing up sewing the strips so I can cut them up for the 4-patches. I hope to get most of it done tomorrow and Wednesday. Everyone's is looking so nice so far! Jen

I like option three because the oranges and pinks really pop next to the blue and purple. I'm so intimidated to do this MQ! But, I have been eyeing my stash and may just get started on it tomorrow. I too was thinking of going with bright pink instead of purple. Good luck! Jen

Here's a really bad picture of my step three. It looks so much better in person, even though I was so excited to post it, I didn't smooth out the wrinkles first! Mine is 6x8 (had to have my hubby hold it up) and it will make a nice gift for my parents for Christmas. I've been quilting for 6 years and I haven't made them one yet!! Can't

Well, I did Step Two today and I like how it's looking! Here's a picture with all of the cuts so I couldn't quite fit them all on, and the picture is kind of blurry, but you get the idea. I have 46. Can't wait for the next step! Jen

Marsha, I just went to the Mt. Pleasant Quilting Company when I was home in October. It's actually in York, NY and I LOVED it there. :) Jen

Ooh...I'm another displaced Western New Yorker. I grew up in Attica, NY and I *hope* to return soon. :) Just had to throw that in there... Jen

Hello Spudgrandma! Looking forward to getting to know you through the MQ challenge! Jen

Marie, I like the 3rd one the best because I like both the green and the dark red you added. Regardless of which one you choose, I think your finished quilt will look nice! Jen
