Ooo, I love both of them. I'm a big sucker for blue and white quilts and those are beautiful!

Thanks Patti, Kris and Marie. I'm just excited all my cutting calculations worked out!

Congrats, Patti. It is a beautiful quilt. Mimi, I loved yours so much. You both are winners to me! :)

I wanted to post a picture of what I have so far before everyone leaves. I don't have a place to hang it and get a full picture, so this is the best I could do with it on the floor. I plan to put a red flower print border (probably about 4") and then use the 2" strips chained together as the binding. I think the top is already kinda busy
Zsofia, DeborahC53 has a Viking she doesn't want to go near. If it is and 875 maybe you can make a deal with her. :) I really checked into these before I purchased and went to try different machines. In my opinion, it is worth the few extra bucks to go for the 875 over the 830. Here is how you justify the additional

Zsofia, I also have a Viking. Some months after I purchased it, I bought a Juki because the Viking wasn't all I'd hoped it would be. It doesn't have an automatic thread cutter nor a knee lift which I thought I was okay not having, but now that I have them on my Juki I don't want to go near the Viking. :) Plus, the Viking has an automatic
Deborah, your layout looks very nice, can't wait to see it done.
Thanks, Marie. I'm afraid to make the first cut, but it's only fabric, right? :) Zsofia, I do love your design (and fabrics) and I'm glad so many are going to be making quilts like it. Brooke, your colors are beautiful and that design

I've been on the busy side this week, so am just catching up with what people have done. I must say the scrappy look is cute and everyone's colors are working great! But, I just did a disappearing nine patch recently (which this quilt technique resembles) so I wanted something different. I've been playing with a design tonight and came up

I think most are correct about the design. I don't think there's going to be any surprises because in Step 3 she's already sewn the rows and has shown the quilt put together on her design wall. But, this is what I expected since it was advertised as a quick quilt and after the first slice and dice, it seemed like the logical progression
