Hey Linda--that sounds like FUN! I read an article in my Quilting Arts magazine (love it!) where a group of women did basically the same thing, except in an artsy sort of way. The first started with a panel of underwater sea life, and each added a block to it. It was phenomenal when done--each woman put her perspective into it and it became a whole

cratz--yes, I included a fat quarter of one of my hand dyes for everyone. Since our group got all messed up, I'm assuming that Avis, Candis or Susie took one (or all of them did), hence none for you, or StefiKay either I suppose. You might want to PM me with your address--I have one from when we got our group assignments, so if that is still the

Just checking in---I received Zsofia's quilt top from StefiKay last Wednesday. I must say, it is a very lovely quilt top so far. I just hope my addition will bring it all together and that Zs will love it. I have not worked on it yet, other than to hand dye the basic fabric I will be using. The hand dye came out spectacular, but not sure yet if

Zsofia I read where you were quite discouraged and you stated that you wouldn't do another RR. PLEASE reconsider! While I haven't seen any of your work yet (can't wait to see what you did to my center square) I just know you did a beautiful job on everyones. I really don't know you very well, but what conversations we have had leads

Hi Melissa! Don't feel alone. We had someone drop out of our group and it messed everything up. I haven't had anything to work on since later January. Only did 2 borders myself. I did like where we started and am willing to give it a try again next fall, but if that one doesn't work out , I'll be sticking to my own quilts from there

Thank you, Barbara, for taking over the RR and seeing to it's completion. While I haven't had anything to work on in a LONG time, I do want to try another RR next fall and hope that it goes as it is supposed to. While I am anxious for another shot at it, please don't rush fall--I'm still buried up to my neck in snow (NO JOKE) and am

My Mom and I are getting ready for our trip to the Lancaster Quilt Show in mid-March. Really looking forward to it! Has anyone checked out the Tentmakers of Chiro exhibit that will be there? OMG--I'll be spending all my time at their booth......just truly amazing what these guys do...on canvas! Hope my back holds out--have to push Momma in a wheelchair

Okay--is it you, Maggie, who makes her own detergent? I would really like the recipe myself. We do alot of laundry here between hubby, my Mom, and myself. I have a new washer that supposedly takes a special detergent, but it has a place for dry stuff--as long as it is okay for septic systems, I don't care!

I am sending out Christtine's block to Zsofia tomorrow morning.

Jackie and Debbie-- There is nothing wrong with not liking the Audubon quilt--I just happen to love it because I LOVE birds! We feed them year round (ouch--expensive!) but we just love the different songs and colors. I'm with Maggie--not going to make it exactly the same. I'm also going to make it my "own". Don't think I'm
