I have my hardest time when paper piecing..., and that is sewing on the given lines!!! but somehow my block is always 1/2 inch short of what I need...any ideas?

Center panel made from printed panel of my original oil painting. This lattice design shows off the hydrangeas! It's for my daughter since she has worn out the quilt I made her in 2003

I hand painted these hydrangeas in oil paints and then had fabric panels made from that painting. This is one of two I am making at the same time. This is for a wedding gift.

I feel kind of badly that this post started off talking about the great quilt shops in coastal SC...then because I had gotten all of my fabrics there for my Heavenly Window quilt, I jumped in with photos that should have been posted in the show and tell gallery....sorry for the poor etiquette, but thank you all for the kind words about one of my favorite

Nana I was sitting in an ordination ceremony at the monastery, taking photos...looked up, snapped this window and thought...hmmm, what a pretty quilt design. A year later I gave the quilt to the old friend who was ordained that day!! Sometimes God puts you right where you need to be.... Jeannie

How funny to look down at my t shirt while I am reading this thread...there's Eyore and Pooh. I have three or four t shirts with my favorite characters ...and pj bottoms!! Haven't even finished reading further ahead in this thread... Just laffed at this Jeannie in FA

I just loved Quilting at the Beach...just the nicest people, especially Renee!! I bought a ton from their fabulous "back room" mark downs! I also bought a lot of front room fabrics for my Heavenly Windows quilt.
