  • Re: Stash reduction

I'm so sorry to hear that all of your stashes are so big and keep growing LOL. I do not have that problem; I have a tiny stash since I just started quilting (almost completed with my 2nd quilt). So...if ya'll need a place to put some of that extra fabric.......I hope to someday share in your dilema! :)

  • Re: Home Quilting Machines

There are a lot of great machines out there and we each have our own preference. Try out whatever models you are interested in to see which YOU like best, and which ones have the features you are looking for. Also, sometimes the dealer will help you make a decision if they are not knowledgeable or able to answer your questions or if they have to ship

Thank you all for the congratulations! I'm sorry but I don't know how to post pics on a thread, but for those of you who did not see, I did create a gallery and put them there. My very first quilt; from piecing to quilting. Far from perfect, but as you can see from pic 3--that's what it's all about! :)

  • Re: Advice needed PLEASE

Thank you Barbara! I DO want to keep it simple on this one. So you think diagonal? I wasn't sure if I should keep to straight lines since it's just a square, straight lined quilt. I wasn't aware of the group--would that be the Fear No More? TY for letting me know about it; I will be joining for sure. Thank you again Krysti :)

  • Advice needed PLEASE

Hello. I am working on quilting my first quilt. It is just a simple quilt (4 inch squares) and a 3 inch border. I just did the SITD around all the squares. Now, do I quilt the border as well? If so, how do I quilt it? I am very new to quilting, and have done NO FMQ and am not ready to start on this particular quilt since I am almost done with it. Any

Wow; thank you all for such a warm welcome! Welcome to you also Lashawng23 from a fellow Newbie. The Craftsy class that Susan mentioned is great! I am currently taking Jenny's Quilting Quickly as well as Machine Quilting with Eleanor Burns (I think is her name) and also the free Block of the Month. Those classes are great because I am one who learns
