Thank you Ramona!! You're always so kind and encouraging. I was asked to show a little more of the fabrics detail, here it is the outer border fabric. I remember reading children's books as I was growing up, the artwork looks like the illustrations from the 1950s, doesn't it? .

Hello everyone! i haven't been here in over a year, i'm sorry to have abandoned you. Life got in the way, my only excuse. I haven't touched my long arm since June '13. I remember it well,LOL! In an effort to get a new quilting foot to work, i accidentally moved the needle bar out of whack, which screwed up the timing. I need to get on

After a hiatus of about 18 months, I'm back but I have yet to rev up the sewing machine. I don't know if my brain injury played any part of the last 18 months, but I'm glad to put it behind me! I'm looking forward to the next few months! We have a dog and a cat and I'm afraid we skipped the heavy vacuuming a few weeks in a row and

I get discouraged easily after a day of homeschool. :~) My son has Aspergers, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and is probably Bipolar... throw in hormones and the poor guy has quite the frustrating day... I have to remind myself (hourly sometimes) that he is more frustrated dealing with all these issues than I am. It's

Thank you for thinking of me Ramona! I'm finishing her Christmas quilt first, and I'll load the minky and quilt top when that one is finished.... Should get to that one this weekend. Homeschool isn't going very well this week... I have a son who might not reach his 13th birthday next month.

I haven't been able to use my longarm since last June. (Long story, won't go into here...) But I'm ready to start up again and Thea's quilts are waiting for me. I'm glad to see there is a new company taking the reigns, and I'm glad to see this thread is picking up again. I have a Tin Lizze 26" on a 12' frame. I've

Ramona, I have a quilt with a minky backing to do for Thea. Could you tell me how you like quilting on minky? It will be my first attempt and I want to do it right.

I received an email saying QCA was purchased by another company. I don't remember the name, but I remember they've been in business over 100 years, in the craft/sewing industry. They also mentioned the longtime problems with the website. They acknowledged it's been working poorly for a long time and the new company is giving the website

What has your experience been with brand names? I'm thinking higher quality brands, such as Moda or Marcus Brothers, wouldn't bleed. Have you found this to be the case?

Oh I don't have this machine. I have several Singer machines though, all are from the 40s or 50s. Love the old machines!
