I'm new to the club so I don't know if I have to sign up ahead of time in order to participate? I am interested.

Marjorie Rhine designed this and Sally the Kitty and Bullfrogs and Running Chickens (and I think she has a horse pattern.) She is from Boring, OR. No, I am NOT kidding. I got the pattern at the LQS but I'm sure a google search for either Marjorie's name or "Simon the Puppy Quilt Pattern" will get you where you need to be. The pattern

  • Another beginner project

This is Simon the puppy. As I assembled the squares I got better. Awaiting the sashing fabric which is in the post. I have 9 more puppies cut but do not have background fabric. There are 21 pieces in each Simon - quite a challenge for me!

Oh, you poor thing! I'd be in tears for days. If you post photos perhaps the experts here can offer some advice. No, don't kill the dog but do leave her in a confined area whenever you need to leave her alone. Or maybe you need to look into Prozac? Half for her and the rest for you!

  • Converting embroidery patterns from one format to another

Does anyone know of a (hopefully inexpensive) computer program that will re-format embroidery files? I bought some designs a while back for one machine (Husquevarna Viking) for a friend to embroider on my items. Now I have a machine of my own (Brother) but would like to use the files I purchased. I'm not thrilled to have to buy the same design twice

Actually, the boats/clouds/sun are fused to the quilt already. Good idea to use the strips the other direction, so I guess I'll have to make another.... though I will have to be more discriminating in my blue fabrics so the "sky" is lighter and definitely different than the "ocean" strips. I am going to quilt waves into the "ocean"

Chipmunks are not so cute when they invade your truck's air conditioning system and make themselves at home! Cost me a fortune at the body shop and, when the mechanic was tearing apart the system, the chipmunks leaping out into the garage bay shocked (and scared the bejesus out of) the mechanic! BTW, these cute little critters were nesting/living
