Ginny: I love that you played with a black border...very brave I think. I do agree though that the blue suits the quilt better. Now I know that if I make a dramatic quilt I use black for a stunning finish. Looking forward to seeing the finished results.

Oh, and Ginny: I recognize fabric you used in MQ6 in your scrappy!! I would go with a dark border added on to existing polka dot border. I've never seen a quilt border in black...would that be too dark? Interesting idea...

The more pics I see of this quilt, the more I love them. While I was creating this quilt I felt, for the first time, like I was making a TRUE quilt. You know, like quilts of yester years made of neccessity from whatever was on hand. Only difference is my 'scraps' are still quality pieces from 'left over' fabric (bought too much). Looking

Hi Donna! I love your cheerful scrappy!! I think your border needs to be brighter, bolder. Your block three rows down, second right has a pretty shade of purplish lavendar. That color would work. You MUst keep the inner border as a `break` to set the inner blocks apart. Good Luck!!! It`s already pretty smart looking.

Tada!! 32 Scrappy blocks!!! Just can't stop...I'm only averaging about 2 blocks/day. But my scraps and materials are all nicely organized now. Key is enjoying the process and keeping cool downstairs. As for my blocks...well...as I mentioned earlier...I LOVE them...and...sorry Nana....I just can't cut them!!! Now don't despair. If not

Erin, had to laugh when I read you were terrified to cut your blocks. Reminds me of the 'Magic Tiles' class I took. Similar to this project we chopped and diced our poor blocks four times!!! And added 'grout' inbetween rows. I drove my poor instructor over the wall...I wouldn't believe her ...all her 'it doesn't have to match'

I am very excited to have 15 blocks ready...half way there. Nana, I don't mind the instructions delay...it gives me more time to 'catch up'. I didn't start until July 1st and then discovered all you eager beavers had gotten a head start!!! It sounds like alot of you had pre-cut scraps in wait. This is taking me a long time as I've

Must...keep...sewing....must keep sewing...and sorting...and more sewing...whew...what a day. Finally completed 9 of what I thought would be the ugliest blocks ever....no matching...anything goes... Well, it amazes me how such varieties of fabric can look so good when all layed out in this fashion. I may not want to cut them up as Nana plans. Erin,
