Ha. I read that to my DH yesterday. Today he said to me that he guessed I wasn't going to sew today because my "chores" were not done yet and I wasn't dressed up enough. tish

There was one on clearance at my local store...mostly a Husqvarna dealer...last year, it was marked down to $50 and I asked about how it worked and if it would work on my Sapphire. She didn't know, but she didn't know why not. She opened the box and there was no paperwork inside to say anything about how to use it or if it would work on my sewing

  • Re: cutting machines

This is a good question. There are so many different ones for sale now. I bought an Accuqilt Go and some dies but have not had a chance to use it yet. After I invested in all of it, I realized I should have researched because I did not realize there are so many different cutting machines. I also use a rotary cutting ruler that I just love. These Fiskers 24" cutters are back! I have used mine so much and just love it. I wish they would make a shorter one, maybe 12 or 15" to use when trimming borders or strips. Joanns has them and they are probably available other places too, but you could use a coupon at Joanns and it would cost less. tish

I have a Husqvarna Sapphire I just love. It has the needle up/down and in the down position, when I stop sewing, the needle stays in the fabric and the foot goes up off the fabric (so I am able to pivot around curves and corners) then automatically goes back down when I start sewing again, I just Love that. Also put the bobbin in and start sewing, that

This is a lovely story. I'm so glad it is working out well for her. Maybe one extra block could be made for you to frame with a picture of her quilting ... it would jog the memories when you look at it. tish

I enjoy making small projects. I like to give little sewing and quilting projects as gifts. I wish there were more books with quick little projects. I made one of those sewing caddies too, they are really useful. tish
