Good morning! I have made several quilts but have not played around with transferring pictures or designs onto a block to be incorporated into the quilt. Pinwheels compromise the middle panel, then quilt stitched the base color using a slight wave to give them motion. I added applique butterflies and made flowers using buttons for the middle to add depth. The idea quilt was started from pattern "Summer at Mom's" from McCall's Quilting. For some reason one of kitties loved 'helping'

A Christmas tree skirt of progressively larger stars.

The blocks are simple and the bouncing balls are appliqued. I used a mix of cotton and flannel.
