    Nana, I am finally finished with step 2! Yay for me :) getting ready to start step 3. That puts me a week behind, hopefully step 4 will have a little less work. All the pressing and trimming of the HST's was very time consuming. I can't wait to start step 3. The yellow is background, pink crown #2, pink floral #3

    So very happy for you. I find it so amazing how we are able to adapt and overcome adversity, one of the side benefits of quilting that also benefits our everyday life. I am in the process of pressing my HST's and hope to be able to start squaring by this evening. So very behind, but enjoying the process.

    We'll, I am not ready with my fabric to start this quilt on Tuesday, but I am so excited about it. The LQS in my area does not carry civil war fabrics, but I am planning on traveling to see family in San Diego in the beginning of October and there is a quilt shop on the way that carries only reproduction fabrics. Then, I will be traveling with family

    Yes, they were an assignment when I was in the 5th grade. My pen pal was from England, I sure wish I had appreciated the assignment and the letters back and forth more then I did back then. I guess this type of online program is the perfect replacement for it. And I get to be inspired by people of like mind. This is great.

    I'm from Tehachapi a small town in the mountains of California about 100 miles northeast of Los Angeles. I agree, this is almost like the pen pals we used to have as kids back in the day.

    I received my book today. Ordered it from Barnes and Nobles. I haven't had a chance to look through it yet, but I am very excited to work on this with a group. I have never done this before and am looking forward to making new friends that have a love for one of my passions. I do not have a network around me to share and feed ideas with, so this
