Through another forum I got interested in making Autumn Leaves again and got involved in somewhat of a sew along.. I made over 100 in 2007. They were smaller, just all types of scraps. This time around it is batiks. I will be making a number of smaller projects. #1 is a table runner or wall hanging. I am going to be hanging it on the rod of my washstand

Thea--I learned somewhere along the line that one should use dark navy thread for quilting on black , likewise black on a very dark navy. Judy--Very cute Rabbit. DS2 was a big Pooh fan. I have been working more at customizing my sewing corner. The design board made it there. Here's what is going on right now. I am planning several projects but as
One thing to consider before you start cutting. I've done mystery quilts (and absolutely love them), but one of the mistakes that I've seen is choosing fabrics that are too close together in value. I really like your brown choices, but before you make them your final choice, place them across the room in such
Donna, I think if it were me, I'd make another panel like the first one, same pane fabrics but different views. So it looks like you have two windows each with a different view of the outside world.
My opinion, exactly.

  • Re: Life changes

I have found no matter what route I decide to take to weight loss or any other matter the most important thing is going in with a positive attitude. If I don't I'm sunk before I start. Also for me going in with the motivation of better health which means better eating habits and food choices is a large part of the battle won rather than thinking

  • Re: Which do you prefer? Basting Pins or Spray and why?
I can only use pins, because I'm allergic to the basting spray. Marianne
I was not allergic to spray basting but the high cost and the over spray had me search for a similar alternative. I found a discussion on using somewhat thinned down washable school glue and I paint it onto the batting with
