  • Re: To wash or not to wash the Great debate

I wash fabrics for my quilts or placemats, really anything I know will be washed alot. But for wall hangings or pillows I don't wash. My allergies are from the dust in the fabrics and not chemicals. The chemicals do dry my hands though.

  • Re: More Miserable Weather

The heat is the same here...I feel like I'm living underground. It's too hot to quilt because I can't stand having the iron on. It's always hot this time of year but we usually get some showers in the afternoon to cool thing off but no showers for days. I watered my plants on the porches this morning and hope I'll make it rain.

  • Re: weather

The weather here has been wonderful for the last couple of weeks...warm not hot and breezy. We had about three weeks of rain before that and I'm not complaining my garden loved it. I've been working in the yard most of the week. Of course all my tomatoes are coming in at the same time LOL. I got a lot of sewing done during the rainy weather

  • Re: Sewing Room & Learning Applique

Congrats on your new sewing room! I know you will enjoy having the space to create. I was going to use my room as a combo guest/craft room but I put the guest bed in the closet and when guests come I'll put it up. It's so nice to be able to spread out. Enjoy!!!

I had such a great day. I resently started working again and it was a treat to be off. I weeded and watered my garden this morning. I hope watering will bring the rain but so far that has not worked, lots of clouds but no rain... I worked on my Wildflower Rhapsody BOM all afternoon. It amazes me how much I have learned working on this quilt. I love

  • Re: BUILDING A STASH

I purged my stash last year before we moved. I only buy what I need for a project and there is always scraps. I usually buy more than the pattern calls for just in case of a boo boo. I find I've built quite a stash this way.

I was going to start painting my bedroom today but the rain goddess changed my plans. I can't really complain about the rain we need it. So I'll just HAVE to sew...LOL...I was looking forward to getting the paint on the walls while hubby was out of my hair. But I also want to work on my spiderweb quilt.
