  • Re: functionality of site

Be aware of spammers sending who-knows-what using email addresses that look like someone we know. Anything that doesn't make sense should be deleted immediately. It's not worth contaminating your computer or anyone else's. My spam filter at work collects messages that I supposedly sent myself with topics ranging from cheap Viagra to mail

  • Re: Buy patterns to save for later?

May I add my welcome as well. I agree with what has been posted - buy what you really like, save the free ones, and organize them. There is wonderful inspiration in reviewing all your patterns. But I have also found that when the world gets to be too much, browsing and dreaming through your patterns is like your own personal retreat. There is always

  • Re: Hoping the winter months are over!

I live about as far north as you can get in Wisconsin. Schools have been closed 8 different days due to extreme cold and excessive amounts of snow. Right now there are snow banks nearly 5 feet high just outside my backdoor -and I live in a city. We had to add a 15 foot extension to the dog's outside lead so she can get around the snow banks. Wish

  • Kathy D's RR4 Quilt - Group 5

Here is my Round Robin 4 quilt. I am so thrilled with it. I think it is beautiful - so does everyone else who has seen it. Border 1 from Linda, 2 from Nana, 3 from Karla, 4 from Jacy. I really enjoyed the Round Robin and would love to participate in another one. Thank you to each of these very talented quilters.

Women of Group 5, My quilt arrived today! It is so beautiful that I am both speechless (which never happens) and in tears. It is amazing with all the beautiful piecing, applique, embroidery, and even quotes from women. The flow of the colors is perfect. It has turned out to be the kind of quilt I would drool over in magazines and pattern books. I can't

QCA just popped up after two days of trying. 8 - 10 hours - WOW, now I'm really excited to see it. I have really liked following you in this experience. Actually, I brought each quilt to work with me to get ideas for each one. My co-workers and friends are waiting to see the finished project as well. Just want to tell all of you - Linda, Karla,

I certainly understand. It's been busy here, too. I'm a board member for a high school recreational basketball league - I do all the paperwork - registrations, payments, scores, & rosters, etc. Sure haven't been doing much sewing. I'm looking forward to seeing the final results - I'm kind of ready to start all over again. Kathy

Take whatever time you need. I'm in no rush. It will be nice mid-January gift when it gets here. When I get caught up on the Baptismal garments I'm going to finally piece together the blocks for an 8 bladed pinwheel quilt. The pattern was popular about 90 years ago. I have 12 different feed-sack style prints. There will be 8 different prints

Linda- I mailed a box containing both your finished quilt and the last one you need to work on. I must admit to all in the group that I very excitedly brought each quilt to work with me to show off your work and get ideas for my addition. I think you will be very pleased with your finished quilt top. I think it is one of those wonderful blends of exciting
