Marie, card stock is fine, I am using both just to see which one works better. Some others are using card stock just fine. When using card stock I was told by LQS to use a hole punch to punch hole in middle to make it easier to remove when you need to. I am going to try some made out of those cards you get in magazines, etc. which are a little thinner

Everyone has done a great job on their flower garden block! I am still working on my first one. Just went to Connecting Threads to see what else they may have on EPP and if you do a search on EPP there are a few free patterns. I could not save them so just printed out a copy(right click). Brigitte, she looks like a good one. I know when I got mine I heard a clacking sound that was because of my spool of thread. I used a straw inserted on spool which solved that noise.
