• Re: Which do you prefer? Basting Pins or Spray and why?

After watching a video on YouTube on hand basting a quilt using a herringbone stitch and 2 boards I was wondering if any of you use this method and how you like it? The video I watched was Hand Basting a Quilt by SharonSchamber in 2 parts. She makes it look so easy.

  • Re: Quilt Hoop help needed

Judy, when I wanted to learn how to hand quilt I bought a large oval hoop and a couple of round hoops of different sizes from Joann's using coupons and decided to teach myself. I wish I had taken a class but just had a demo during quilt guild. My first quilt was done with straight line stitching around my quilt blocks. For my second quilt I practiced

It is nice to know that you can place orders for them. I went on a road trip to a shop closest to me and bought one from my state plus so much more fabric for future quilts for my grandson. It is always nice to visit different quilt shops though.

I wish I had seen this thread sooner I would love to have made this quilt to hang in my "sewing room" . I hope they do this again.
I saw this on Facebook and wanted to share it as a cute way to use the license plates. I think the photo originated in Texas. Isn't it cute?

Bonita, I love the blocks you have done so far. I am working on a baby quilt, the sleeping bear pattern again. I have make this pattern so many times I should be able to do it with my eyes closed. At least it is for a girl this time. Last few quilts have been for boys. It is nice to use pinks and purples for a change

Judy, that is so darn cute!! I can't wait to see the next one. Are they all paper piecing? I can't tell you how much I love to see all of your works of art. I loved the one you posted for the auction last year I think.

I was working on this quilt and after finishing the blocks I can't remember why I bought the kit for this quilt and can't say that I like this one. It comes with tan sashing and black for the binding. On a happier note I get to start a quilt for my first Grandchild and have bought some juvenile fabrics but need to decide on a pattern. Any suggestions
