Perfect (almost) timing! MQV was my very first MQ and I loved it. Just two weeks ago got the quilt back from my local longarmer and shipped it off to my granddaughter. It turned out gorgeous! I'm ready for a Scrappy MQ 'cause I have TUBS of strips and eights and scraps and stuff.... I'll end up being a little behind as I'm spending 2

Beautiful... I can't wait to see the whole thing. Promise you'll post when done. Merry Christmas!
I heard my nephew will be coming home from his first stint in Afghanistan next week, so I had to get my rear in gear to get the stack-n-whack finished (started in September at the Iowa retreat) as a wedding gift

So... no sewing, or much of anything for me for awhile. Went to the dr Tuesday with left wrist pain so bad I thought I had broken it somehow. It has been like this since Sunday and so far no explanation. Still waiting for xray results. High dose advil and vicodin (as needed, yep). The last few mornings I could barely get dressed and feed the dogs before

Nan, Such a blessing you are to Sukochi! I understand the hives and Prednisone problem, been through it myself. Tell her she is missed and I'll keep her in my prayers. A friend posted this today on FB... my first laugh in days, enjoy!

Good Morning All....I've been so busy at work (we moved our main headquarters, packing last week and moving in on Monday) and so tired when I get home that I haven't done much of anything else. Its a good thing that I'm not really doing anything for Thanksgiving this year. DS2 is going to his girlfriends parents, DD and her family are in
The Sack Lunches
Darn Diane, you made me cry. And now I have to go back to work all puffy. Bless you for posting this. My DSIL is USMC and and I happy and grateful to say he's stateside with my DD and 2 DGDs. But I know that can change at any time.

Never thought I'd see the day..... My dining room table is now holding 2, count em', 2 sewing machines all set and ready to go! I'm using CoCo (my new BL) with it's wonderful walking foot to quilt my MQ, and my old but faithful Janome to piece the top I've just started for DGD#2. I feel ..... rich! God has really blessed me this

Thanks Gini... I re read the pattern instructions and it calls for exact 1/4" seams. I'll do another couple of test blocks and see if I can figure it out. The alternate instructions for cutting the triangles without the Companion Angle is to but 7 1/4" squares then cut diagonally twice. I'll see if that gets me closed to my 6 1/2"
