This was made for a wedding shower for a church friend. I slightly changed the pattern that I used from Baby Lock Project that I found on line. My casserole dish was larger as the new dishes have handles that make the dish larger than 13x9. Not only making it bigger, I put the serving spoon holder inside on top of the flap. This table runner was insired by the Lazy Hazy Summer Fun pattern from Quilt Trends Shop Hop 2010. Instead of making checker boards, I just sewed strips together to make the width needed then cut to 13 inch lengths. Then sewed the strip set to the print focus fabric to make the table topper top. It was a quilt as you go so the backing was a solid piece
