  • Re: Keeping your Quilt Block in the Order you want them.

I stack my rows up in the order of sewing. I mark the first block of the row with a piece of a sticky not pinned on and an arrow in the direction I am to sew. That way I don't accidently turn the stack before I get to my machine. I need all the help I can get. Quilton, Ramona

Donna, How many borders do you want? Me, I think I'd go with the brown color you have in there. Don't you just love all the different ideas you get when you ask a question on here? Audition and see what you think. Quilton, Ramona

Debbie-do, Love the quilt and the colors!! Thanks for sharing the link to the pattern. I think this would work well with flannels too. Good way to use up those leftover fall scraps of flannel for me. Quilton, Ramona

  • Re: Stitch length for attaching binding

Mary789, I do use the 3.0 on the stitch length when attaching binding and I use my quarter inch foot. The 3.0 allows the thickness of the quilt to move a bit more free and not push the fabric so bad. The is just enough difference in the 2.5 and 3.0 to allow this but not enough to compromise the credibility of the stitches by them being too far apart

Christine, He does have a lot going on and yes, it's probably equally if not more frustrating for him. You have a great idea with the Y though. He seems to love that and that's a great incentive.

Michelle, I too had considered renting my machine. I mentioned it to one person who I thought would come in to use it and that settled the idea of NOT wanting to rent it. Of course, it was a friend, and she wanted to trade and not pay. She eventually bought her own machine and has moved to another state. I just chaulked it up to me having become her
