My niece had a little girl in December 2010 and named her after my mom, who passed in 1989. I made this quilt in bright colors and had it quilted with butterflies.

The reverse of the sports quilt was just as fun to make ! I found a fabric with referee whistles and surrounded it with extra blocks from the sports fabrics.

  • Oriental Dreams

I love this pattern design from my friend Tami (Blissful Dreams). Using a monochromatic color scheme, this quilt can be done by a beginner quilter but it the look is much more complex. Even with just a light/medium/dark, this quilt pops. Using a more dramatic themed oriental, I made this quilt for a neighbor while I taught the class one year. (2010

  • Sports quilt

Our first grandson was born in August 2011. Since his father competed in many sports during his childhood, this quilt represents all the sports he ever did. I found fabrics for hockey, football, baseball, lacrosse, soccer, bowling, and even golf. The sport fabric blocks are set off with an opposing block 9 patch that gives the effect of a soccer ball

  • Mystery Quilt

I started this quilt on Columbus Day weekend 1999, an online mystery, can't even remember with what group now. I never had a baby to give it to until 2010, when a girl I worked with had a little girl. So, had it quilted and it went to live with a new girl. Love it when something leaves the nest :D

  • Oriental Garden (wedding quilt for Audrey)

The fabrics for this quilt were chosen by my friend Audrey to match her favorite print. I chose the pattern to showcase the oriental floral pattern and made her quilt to fit her room, along with pillow shams. A wonderful memory :D
