  • makeing a rag quilt/usually quilt as you go

    Has anyone made a Rag Quilt, (sewing the quilted squares together the sandwich with the seams showing on the outside. They are usually called Rag quilt or quilt as you go rag quilt. Does anyone know if there are instructions are a video on the website showing how to do this? Any replies would be helpful. It might take me hours to find a video on the

    My curiosity got the best of me , I checked Dear Jane quilt online, Oh My Gosh, I would be blind and crosseyed If I tried something this small and intricate, congrats. on you almost finishing this quilt, since you did so many colors I would think quilting it without takeing away from the colors and patterns of your fabric.     Okay you talked me into it, I know absolutely nothing about what you all are talking about, except we will be makeing a mystery quilt. So someone will have to inform me with all the instructions, other that I need a jelly roll (that is a roll of 2 1/2 " strips usually at least 44" long , if I buy will I also need to get coordinating fabric

    Hey thanks I will pick up tomorrow, it has several cute quilts in it. I went ahead and ordered some books, but you can never have too many quilting magazines, I have thousands and always to back to them if I get bored just get out some of the old ones and it's like Xmas all over.

    I just saw your posting, I am glad I did, I am trying ( I say trying) to use my babylock ellegante for pieceing, I was haveing the same problem I was ready to give up and pull out my little sears machine, I had my machine set to auto backstitch and that was what was causing the nest of fabric underneath, I finally figured out how to undo the automatic

  • ready to buy accuquilt go, need to know what to buy?

    Good Morning everyone love this website especially when you need information , I am ready to buy accuquilt go, I need to know what I need to purchase witht he machine, I see that there are different mats in different sizes I am assuming you have to have a mat to cut, does the mat have to match the size of cutter you are useing? Such as a large square

    Sounds like you have your days full, I still haven't been able to find anything on quilting as you go , I guess I will have to break down and order the books I have seen on this subject. I know there are several techniques, just need to find instructions for the one I think will be easiest and look the best. How did you get started with this technique

    Well Gini I work for one of the largest telecommunications co.'s in the U.S. Verizon. I used to love my job but the company no longer seems to care about anything but profits so they can pay out the billions yearly to the Corporate Fat Cats. My husband retired from Verizon 3 years ago, I am hopeing to retire next year about this time. God willing

    Hi , everyone I really appreciate all the responses from my question about the (quilt as you go method), I am very excited to start a quilt useing this method, I am from West Texas and it is so dry this year we are in a drought and looks like no relief in sight, I need to keep my mind on something else, I have been on vacation from my job this week
