I hand pieced the tumbling blocks using english paper piecing while waiting...at airports, Dr.'s, etc. from 2003-2010. The boarders are appliqued with leftover pieces of the blocks, and the quilting was done by Lain Stowe(Sew Much Fun Columbus GA). I used Elenor Burns pattern (Victory Quilts) for Airplanes & Propelers for this quilt for my brother who used to skydive. The "proplers" looked like the "Church Window" parachute he used to have. I embroidered a man jumping on the top corner and one landing..parachute opened, on the lower corner.
