    very lovely quilt Margaret. Have been working on 4 rag quilts for my 4 adopted grandchildren for Christmas. And the next time I think I want to use black will someone please reach thru the computer lines and slap me realllllllllllllllllllllll hard.     OMG!!!!!! let the droollllllling begin shall we. Sam and Mark you bet. And I have met Blake Shelton. Actualy had my pic taken with him. I won a meet and greet at a concert. He is one tall drink of water. Yup boots my house any day. Janelle

    Well I am going to give it a shot. so will do the prewash thing then maybe try a table runner to see how it goes. Thanks for all your help guys. Like I said earlier I have been sewing forever just never did the quilting , so I am giving it a shot now. I have never been known to start out doing anything small , I always jump right in so here goes

    So would you experienced quilters suggest that I use something else instead of the muslin for my cathedral window quilt ? As I do want it to last and not fall apart after putting all that work into it.

    Yes t never had si will very soon turn 59 and have been sewing since i was in grade school. I just never had tried quilting. I am now at home on a forced retiement from disabilty so i lots of time on my hands. so you think I should was my material first. I alsays have washed my material when I sew outfits. Thanks Janelle

    I am getting ready to start making a cathedral window quilt and i need some info from you great folks. Muslins is my back material and cotton will be my small window pieces. So now my big question is do I wash my materials first before i cut the squares or do i wait and wash after i am done putting it all together? I may be crazy to try this one as

    thank you all for your info on the readers. once everything gets settled for me i will look into them. i am not very smart when it comes to electronic stuff. been sitting here today hand sewing some cathederal window christmas ornaments for gifts. well once again thanks for your help Janelle
