  • Re: Idea for Brag Book

This is a great idea. I have been taking pictures of most of my quilts since I started in 1987. Thanks to your post I have a new reason to check the bargain bins at Joann's and Hancock's. In addition, I'm going to start keeping snippets of the fabric to keep with the photos. So my next project will be to go through my pictures and my stash

  • Re: Purchasing a new iron

I have 2 old Black and Decker iron that I bought at garage sales for $2.00 each. Love them. They get incredibly hot and don't have auto shutoff. I have tried numerous new irons and don't care for them. They don't seam to last and don't get nearly as hot as the old ones do. My sister has one with a tank and she really likes that one.

  • Re: Fun 'tip' for free motion quilting practice

This is funny on so many levels!! My husband would be smiling too as I HATE mowing the lawn so he would be so happy. I think I'll stick to practicing on potholders.

  • Re: What other hobbies do you have besides quilting?

Is it a hobby to sit at the ball park? I have 4 kids who play ball so if I'm not working or quilting I'm watching them in their activities. Actually the priorities right now are working, kids then quilting and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Would change it for anything.

According to the TSA site, you can bring, "Scissors - metal with pointed tips and blades shorter than four inches", either carry on or checked baggage. Have a nice trip!
