Beth, sounds like a busy week for you. I'm sure your week will be great with girlfriends. I am heading to SC for a week, taking mom there to visit her sister and brother still alive. Did some quilting yesterday on a top that I finished on our Alaska trip. Got that on the long arm and quilted and binding out on, while on the long arm. So easy that

IS, So sorry to hear this about your sister. My sister in law had the same thing this last year. We aren't that far apart in miles, only 200, but spent a few days there when everything happened. Then this last month, she was sick in the hospital and I went to help take care of her in the hospital and then at home for a few weeks. So spent over a

IS, i don't remember what the problem was with your sister? But I would think a nice visit from immediate family is always welcome. Is there a reason that the daughter is wanting her mother to be only with her children? Our prayers are with you. We have also been dealing with family health issues and that is very taxing on family members. Some think

dslooney, I also looked at several machines before settling on the Handiquilter. I was looking for something that was easy to thread, no or little maintenance, a store (close) that could help with any issues, and one where the machine was smooth to sew with. I had tried a few of the more expensive machines and none fit the things I was looking for.

Agnes, That is the one! I didn't see it on here, it was a pattern that we saw at the Smokey Mountain retreat last summer at one of the quilt shops. They were giving it away as a free pattern for baby quilts. It was not for a long arm machine, I just did it there as I thought that would be easier. Then on each of the strips (as they were all about

Thea, Mine has the velco also, the other end of the leader has a hem that is open on one end. That's the end the plastic pole part goes into. It is very small, maybe 3/8 inch size pole, so it seems to be for all leaders. That is my thoughts, not sure as I don't have the instructions with me, I will look when we get home this weekend.

Carol, I am going to a few of Linda's classes in Houston, so looking forward to hearing her strategy for a business. I watch all her you tube videos for free motion and love her techniques. I use a lot of her ideas when free-motioning. Nancee, Let us know what you longarmer gives you as ideas also. Zoetc, I would like to know what the going rate
