    Kris, yes we are still doing well. Hard to keep up with only little internet service. Driving and sight-seeing most of the day, usually by dinner, we rest outside, I try to work on the pics and my blog then bed. Not even much sewing. There is so much to see here! I heard from Sue the other day by email. They were having truck issues and had to stay

    Well, we have some internet finally and able to sort of catch up on what everyone is doing. some beautiful quilts out there! I pulled out some blocks that I put together about a week ago when we were still in Alaska, black and white quilt blocks. Making a quilt for oldest son, not sure it will be done by Christmas? Found this pattern called, Scenic

    Marianne, my husband works on these and he says start the machine while using the hand wheel, pulling the hand wheel toward you as you start using the foot treadle. You have to do them together at the beginning. The machine will go both ways, forward and backwards but will only sew in the forward directions. Does this make sense?

    Marie, Get creative with them and post pics! I thought a class how to make them in NM a few years ago and the ones the ladies made and their creativity was wonderful!

    Rhonda, Here is a picture if one that I make for friends, make and female both. I decorate each differently for the men and cut the arms at a straight angle instead of the curve for female. If you like this I can send instructions. I found it on the internet.

    Thanks for posting the link for mitered corners. I liked his technique also and will try that out. I also liked how he explained about the clipping of corners. I usually get 3 out of 4 corners that look good but one is always a little bulky. Thanks!

    We are still traveling in Alaska, I did some teaching in Anchorage this past week at the hospital, got my hair cut and now back down in Anchor Point on the Kenai Peninsula for some Halibut fishing. We got a few yesterday and hoping to pick up the packages today to put in the chest freezer. We brought up the chest freezer in the RV full, about 1/2 empty
