Thanks Kris and Barb. :). I have to wait at least two weeks until my next paycheck comes in to determine how much money is left after bills unfortunately. I'm not making enough money lol to support my growing and growing habit and pay all necessities :-(. I will probably purchase it and do what you suggested just not sure if it will be this month

Anyone bought or buying tree of life pattern from McCalls? If so how is it? Would you be able to do it using fusible applique? Or only hand applique? It really looks tough to do for beginners of applique but very lovely. If you have done this please share your insights and thoughts on the pattern and making of the beautiful quilt with us all. I am thinking

Mmm. I love the panel fabrics out there and yours is gorgeous. My problem with them is it would be hard for me to cut that apart and make it a quilt. I would probably end up doing a whole quilt just leaving it and doing quilting on it. What are your plans?

Welcome Victoria. Very humorous introduction lol. Most of us are addicts. Although some will be in denial lmao. Lately, I haven't had much time do to much infact never finished my ufo from last xmas for my bf or my friend.

It sounds like a lovely quilt pattern and I have yet to do drunkards or anything with to many curves. I have done one from fons and porter which was just flowers.

I've been working a lot so sorry for the late response. Noone's quilts are ever perfect they just look that way because we know how to hide mistakes we made lol.

MM a button or a logo from another shirt that's small enough maybe might work as well.

Welcome to the group. I started quilting by doing a block of the month from Joann Fabrics and quickly got hooked back in 2005/06. One of those years. Ever since been growing and learning and doing mor quilts. You will like it here.

I agree I think what you did was fusible applique not paper piecing. I have done a few paper piecing it is super easy if you follow the directions for the projects. :)
