  • Re: Glad to be back

I've been away a long time also - medical for me also. I've been quilting some but not as much as I would have liked to. I did finish my most favorite little quilt though and posted pictures of it today. My first memory/photo quilt. It's hard to get projects finished when you are ill. I got behind on everything so now I am playing catch

  • Amanda's Memory Quilt New Baby Square

I made this quilt for my godchild to commemorate her graduation from graduate school. I designed it myself and it is made of nine 15" blocks, each with nine photos of her as she grew up. The final block is of her at her graduation party and in her graduate cap and gown. It took me months to complete as I had health issues but also choosing the

The rest of the quilt was stitch-in-the-ditch to highlight the patterns. This was the first time I made flying geese, mitered corners on a border

  • Re: Did You Work on a Quilt Today? #5

I worked on a block of the month square today. I had to re-do one that I did yesterday because I made a boo-boo when I cut out the first block! I cut out a 12" block when the patters said to cut out a 12.5" block:-( Oh well - good thing I have lots of stash! This is a mystery block of the month quilt and I have decided to use up a lot of fat

  • Scattered Hearts

Table topper made of pieced blocks and appliqued hearts that were stitched on with satin stitch. Blocks were quilted with stitch in the ditch and outer border was free motion stitched heart design. All fabrics were 100% cotton quilting materials.
