Hello Jenia - like you I am new to quilting 3 maybe 4 years. I work at a very stressful job so quilting and this site are my therapy.

Ladies - thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my Hay Bale. You are all so encouraging. I got a design wall for Christmas so now I am able to lay out my blocks and play with them for a more balanced quilt. Thanks again!

The pattern is called Hay Bale and I made some minor adjustments so it would fit on a queen bed with a drop on 3 sides. I learn so much from you ladies and want to thank you for sharing your wealth of information! I am such a newbie, only

once a year. the way I look at it paying for the cleaning and adjusting is an insurance policy. I have had my Brother Esante for about 17 years now with no major issues. I only use someone who has come to my attention by word of mouth as doing excellent work. and then I only take it to the same person - kinda like going to the Dr. - he/she gets to know

  • Hankie Quilt

I have three granddaughters and made each a Hankie quilt in different colors. The hankies came from my grand mother, my mother, friends and yardsales. Instead of binding there is lace around the outside. Each quilt has a pillow to match but I didn't get pics of them before I had to send them off for Christmas. I quilted hearts all over. This one
