  • Pinwheel Quilt from Grandpa's Ties

Pinwheel quilt using fabric from grandpa's ties. Because necktie silk fabric is lightweight and cut on the bias, the pinwheel "wings" were all Foundation Pieced. Every other set of wings is pieced from multiple ties fabrics. Half-square triangle method used to sew to oxford cloth background fabric.

My Stash runneth over... My mother asked for a Memory Jacket for her 80th birthday. With the exception of the charms, I was able to complete most of the jacket embellishment from The Stash. This is the lower front. Each of the elements celebrates an event in her life. She played the trumpet in high school. The musical cleft and quarter note indicate

Hi. An Adult ADHDer from the Arizona Desert. I found Paper/Foundation Piecing to help me be able to finish projects. This one is a Paper Pieced New York Beauty that uses a variety of sizes of fabric pieces. I was fortunate to have been given some very small pieces of fabric from my grandmother's stash and incorporated them into this quilt. My long
